Dr Hedwig Boudrez – paper entitled "Effectiveness of varenicline as an aid to smoking cessation: results of an inter-European observational study"
Dr Boudrez has provided a brief introduction to his paper, 'Effectiveness of varenciline as an aid to smoking cessation: results of an inter-European observational study', published in the April issue of CMRO.
The paper presents the results from the CHOICES (Champix Observational Investigation in the Cessation of Smoking) study which evaluated the safety and efficacy of varenicline tartrate in 551 smokers in a real-world setting across 4 European countries. The results showed that varenciline aided smoking cessation in 64.6% of patients and demonstrated an acceptable safety and efficacy profile in real-world clinical practice.
Dr Mark Sostek – paper entitled "Long-term safety of naproxen and esomeprazole magnesium fixed-dose combination: phase III study in patients at risk for NSAID-associated gastric ulcers".
